MCASD invites 11th grade students from San Diego to join our teen program, Teen Art Collective (TAC). This is an opportunity for teens to meet for a year and learn about contemporary art, explore art collections, meet artists and art professionals, create art, and plan a museum exhibition.

Current cycle: September 2024 through June 2025

TAC meets weekly in La Jolla every second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 5 – 7PM (with some exceptions).

Led by museum educators, TAC is an opportunity for teens to:

• Get lessons on art history with an emphasis on contemporary art 
• Receive mentorship with Museum staff and local art professionals
• Enjoy hands-on creation 
• Plan and have fun at the end-of-year Teen Night exhibition
• Development a portfolio and documentation
